Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is quoted by Mashable  as saying during the press event that “The news feed is one of the most important things we’ve built,” adding that the new Newsfeed is  “the most personalized newspaper,”. It’s no doubt that today, people access news first in social media sites like Twitter and Facebook before they actually read them in a national (hard paper) newspaper. More than just the News feed where you can read stories, Facebook has also redesigned the Events page which is another major part of Facebook. Now if you’ve used Events in Google Plus, you agree with me that Facebook is playing catch-up here as G+ events are simply off the hook! Facebook can not afford to compromise on “Photos” feature. It’s what sets the social network way apart from its competitors. The new Photos redesign seem to be bigger, more visible and incorporate certain aspects of Microsoft’s Metro-tile UI. Want to get it before anyone else does? Head over to https://www.facebook.com/about/newsfeed right to the bottom of the page and “join the waiting list” and then wait! Hope you like it.
